Horrocks Beach is a quiet little holiday destination located 22 km west of Northampton and about 500 km north of Perth in the Mid West Region. It is a traditional 1950's style holiday town village, originally with simple fibro holiday houses near the sand dunes, gradually being updated. Like many of the fishing villages on the coast the population of Horrocks swells dramatically in the crayfish (rock lobster) season and during summer school holidays. Visitors come to fish for tailor, whiting, skipjack, herring, garfish and snook off the beach and near the Bowes River estuary or to take boats offshore.
