Patonga is the southernmost beach on the Central Coast. Patonga Beach is in a recessed bay, so the waters are usually calm - providing excellent swimming conditions. There are fabulous views across Brisk Bay to the mouth of the Hawkesbury River, Lion Island, Barrenjoey and West Head. The beach is relatively sheltered, and good for swimming and families. Patonga Creek is tidal and the beach where it enters the sea provides gentle, relatively shallow water at low tide. There is a boat ramp, and a children's playground, near the beach. Patonga is a place of quiet retreat suitable for many activities, including: Strolls along the beach, and around the quiet fishing village; Swimming, at the beach or in the Creek. Palm Beach and Hawkesbury River Cruises - The ferry runs daily from Palm Beach, stopping in Patonga on the way up the Hawkesbury River to Bobbin Head. Palm Beach Ferry - This ferry runs between Palm Beach and Ettalong Just north of Patonga is Pearl Beach. Swim at the beautiful beach, or stroll around the leafy streets.
