Beach Road, which extends along the coast, features cafes and shops overlooking the beach. Rhyll overlooks Western Port and French Island, the site of a French scientific expedition in 1802. There is a jetty near the main boat ramp and another further west along the coast. To the west is Rhyll Inlet and Conservation Hill Reserve with its array of wetlands, native vegetation and waterways providing a haven for a diverse range of birdlife including migratory birds. Rhyll has excellent fusing, sailing and boating facilities with all weather boat ramps, slipway jetties, yacht club, fishing club, boat hire and learn to sail school.
