Wallaga Lake - Beach Front Holiday Properties, Holidays and Lifestyles

Listed Below are the best Wallaga Lake - Beach Front Holidays, Holiday Accommodation and Beachfront Properties for Sale, Rent or Lease, that are on the beachfront, waterfront or close to the beach. Wallaga Lake is one of the coasts largest lakes with good fishing and outstanding natural beauty. The entrance to Wallaga Lake is usually located along the northern side of Murunna Point. The lake has small runoff of fresh water from Narira and Dignams Creek. The lake is between 3 and 6 m deep, with deeper water up to 8 m north of Merriman Island (centre of the lake). The tidal limit is located 4 km up Dignams Creek, about over 10 km from the entrance. Piles of shells line Wallaga's shores, many of which are middens, reflecting continuous Aboriginal habitation thousands of years old. Lake fishing is renowned. You can enter on foot from the Princes Highway, but it is best accessed by boats, which can be hired from Regatta Point or Beauty Point. The Umbarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre contains many art works and artefacts that show the history and culture of the Aboriginal Yuin people. They also have demonstrations at the centre, and can arrange tours to Mt Dromedary and cruises on Wallaga Lake. There is a wide range of beachfront and waterfront accommodation at Wallga Lake and the surrounding villages.
